We have many open PCPA positions for the coming year.
Why is parent involvement such a big deal?

Two major studies have shown that parent involvement has a hugely positive
effect on student achievement and other indicators of success.
Children with parents who are involved in their education are more likely to:

Earn better grades. Score higher on tests. Attend school regularly.
Have better social skills. Show improved behavior.
Be more positive in their attitude toward school.
Complete homework assignments.
Graduate and continue their education.

Parents, we need your help to continue the many programs our students enjoy.
If you're interested - please reach out! We'll work together to find a way to get you involved - in a way that taps into the things you're interested in!

Fundraising Updates

Hannaford Grocery Card Fundraiser
Did you know that the Hannaford fundraiser brought in over $4,500 last year to Cape schools!?  Hannaford gives back 5% of every dollar the schools collect each month for FREE!   March update:  19 Cape families took part in March and earned $325 for our outdoor educational programs!  Simply send in a check with your filled out form to the MS or Pond Cove front office and you will receive a Hannaford grocery card for the full amount of your check. You decide to which grade's outdoor fund your 5% gets allocated - for example - do you have a kindergartner this year? Choose Class of 2031 for your 5% allocation - the money STAYS with the class for future outdoor programming!
You may also choose to allocate funds to teacher grants.

Because we want to give all parents the opportunity to attend Pond Cove Parents Association meetings, we will continue to alternate meeting times – morning meeting one month, evening meeting the next month. Morning meetings will be held in the Pond Cove Cafetorium.
Evening meetings will be held in the Pond Cove Library Learning Commons.
