We need your help to get crafting!

Craft Night is an annual event where families can enjoy making fun crafts, art projects and great gifts. Children and parents come and enjoy creating art together — the event is particularly well-suited for younger children. There will be pizza and snacks available for purchase - so no need to cook dinner!

This event is a fun and easy way to get involved as a PCPA volunteer. We will be looking for volunteers to staff the six craft stations for one or two hour shifts. No craft experience is needed!! Just come have fun and maybe get your hands a little sticky. We are also looking for volunteers to bake or buy bake sale treats.

Arts Day Volunteers Needed!

Arts Day is nearly here! A handful of artists have requested parent helpers during their sessions, 8:15-11:30. If you are interested, please let us know via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The day will begin with student musicians performing at different locations during arrival. Next, each class will participate in 3 different workshops, each about 40 minutes in length. After lunch, the all-school assembly features an exciting performer. This is always a fun day for students and teachers alike, but we still need help to make it happen. Thank you!

Staff Appreciation Week is May 6-10!
The week of May 6-10 is National Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week!  Please help us show our wonderful Pond Cove Teachers and Staff how grateful we are for all they do for our kids!  Here are the ways to help:
Thursday, May 9th:  Bring a Flower to Your Teacher Day

Send flowers to school with your child! Pick a flower from your garden or grab one from a local store/florist and have your child bring it to their teacher on Thursday, May 9th. We supply the vases. The teachers supply the smiles! If your garden is lush or you have room in your budget, please have your child bring in a flower for their allied arts teachers or any other teacher or staff who is part of their day!
(Look for a flyer coming home in backpack mail.)
Friday, May 10th:  Staff Appreciation Luncheon:
There are two ways you can help out with this highly-anticipated luncheon--which is the single biggest event we hold for our teachers each year!!!

    I.  Prepare or purchase something to contribute to the luncheon.
If you would like to sign up, you can access the group meal by clicking here: or by visiting PerfectPotluck.com and locating the schedule by
coordinator last name (Leopold) and password (Teachers).

Please deliver items to the Pond Cove Conference Room (located across from the Front Office) by 10 AM on Friday, May 10th. Alternatively, you may drop them off at 25 Pilot Point Road the day before (after emailing a heads-up to: This email address is being protected from spambots.     II.    Contribute something to the Raffle!

We will supply 10 free raffle tickets to each staff member and they can choose which items to try to win. We hope to have at least 10 raffle items. If you are willing to donate something for the raffle, it would be so appreciated!  Suggestions include gift cards to local businesses, a floral arrangement, a service, jewelry, or other small item. We have many open PCPA positions for the coming year.
Why is parent involvement such a big deal?

Two major studies have shown that parent involvement has a hugely positive
effect on student achievement and other indicators of success.
Children with parents who are involved in their education are more likely to:

Earn better grades. Score higher on tests. Attend school regularly.
Have better social skills. Show improved behavior.
Be more positive in their attitude toward school.
Complete homework assignments.
Graduate and continue their education.

Parents, we need your help to continue the many programs our students enjoy.
If you're interested - please reach out! We'll work together to find a way to get you involved - in a way that taps into the things you're interested in!

Please contact PCPA Vice President This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with questions.

Simply send in a check with your filled out form to the MS or Pond Cove front office and you will receive a Hannaford grocery card for the full amount of your check.
