Week of 13 May 2019
The first two weeks of May have been full of excitement at Pond Cove. Our grade one and two evening musical performances were an amazing success. It was wonderful to see the cafetorium full of family members on both nights. Last week, our visiting author, Zachariah Ohora, provided an enriching experience for staff and students during his three days at Pond Cove. I would like to thank the PCPA for funding a significant portion of his visit. Also, we appreciate your support for National Walk or Bike to School Day. Mrs. Kennedy counted 154 bikers in addition to the many walkers who participated last Wednesday.
We are grateful for the many volunteers who enhance teaching and learning at Pond Cove each day. In addition to volunteer opportunities, we are always looking for substitute teachers. Becoming a guest teacher can be a great way to make a connection with the school community and support students and staff. If you are interested in learning more about substitute teaching opportunities, do not hesitate to email or call me. I am happy to talk with you about the many opportunities available. To apply for a substitute position, please visit the district website https://hr.cape.k12.me.us/
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
