Principal's Notes
Week of 25 March 2019

Dear Families,

I would like to thank you all for the wonderful turnout we had for parent/teacher conferences last week. I cannot overemphasise the importance of teachers and parents working together to support children. Your involvement helps make Pond Cove an amazing place to teach and learn.

I would also like to thank our teachers for being flexible by offering conferences before and after school throughout last week. It is wonderful to see that we are able to accomodate for many parents’ work schedules.

It certainly feels like spring has sprung. We seem to be moving past the snow pant season, but I would still recommend sending boots to school for recess. Although our playground is beginning to dry, conditions can become muddy this time of year with just a little bit of rain.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we have started the student placement process for the 2019-2020 school year. Collecting input from parents is a vital part of creating well-balanced classrooms. Please see the attached Link: 2019-2020 School Year Placement Parent Information Form. This form is optional and will allow you to share important information about your child with us. We are not able to honor specific teacher requests.

Feel free to email the form to me at  jmanjourides@ capeelizabethschools.org or print and send the completed form to school with your child. If you require a paper copy to be sent home, simply request one from our front office. Please submit the form by April 11, 2019.

Final class placement information will be sent home to families at the end of the last student day of school (date to be determined). Thank you for your support.

Respectfully,

Jason Manjourides

Principal
