With the holiday approaching, please take a moment to review the travel guidelines set by the State of Maine:
https://www.maine.gov/covid19/restartingmaine/keepmainehealthy
Vermont and New Hampshire are still on the exempt list.

In an effort to have our schools open next week, we have developed a bus schedule that will hopefully only have to be implemented for the week of December 7-11, 2020. There will have to be double runs in order to provide students with transportation to and from school. The times listed will be arrival times at schools in the morning, and departure times from school in the afternoon. 2nd wave bus students should plan to be at their bus stops 15 minutes after their normal time. We are asking parents who can transport their own students to school next week, to do so in order to help out with this transportation challenge. Please check your email to view the schedule. Thank you.

Effective Thursday, December 3, all Cape Elizabeth Schools will transition to full remote learning. Please check your email for the letter from Superintendent Wolfrom regarding the positive case.

UPDATE: Massachusetts has been removed from the travel exemption, people coming to ME from MA must either quarantine for 14 days or receive a negative COVID-19 test with a sample taken no longer than 72 hours from arrival in ME. This will go into effect on Monday 11/16/20.

Congratulations Pond Cove Elementary School! A recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Schools award which affirms the hard work of educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content.

The restriction on Massachusetts has been lifted by Governor Mills. The exempt states for travel are now: MA, NY, NH, VT, NJ, CT.
All other states will require a 14-day quarantine or a negative Covid test result.

Due to a recent federal waiver extension, ALL kids eat free lunch in our school system until December 31st!

Exempt states for travel are still New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, New York, & New Jersey. All other travel requires a 14-day quarantine or a negative Covid test. These requirements include if you must venture outside of Maine for a medical appointment.

School Nutrition Update: Good News!
The U.S.D.A has extended their summer feeding waiver! What this means is all of our students regardless of eligibility will be able to access both breakfast and lunch at no cost to them.

Bus assignments are now live on the parent portal in PowerSchool!

Parents of students in the Hybrid Model, please remember to complete the Parent Contract in the PowerSchool portal prior to sending your student to school next week, and to complete the self assessment every school day before sending your student/s to school. If they answer “Yes” to any question, please keep them home. Bus assignments, for those who requested bussing, will soon be available on PowerSchool.

ME residents state visit exemptions are the same from last week. However, if they visit elsewhere: 14-day quarantine or a negative test are the requirement. Seasonal homeowners, workers traveling to Maine, and other visitors may also utilize a recent negative COVID-19 test as an alternative to the required 14-day quarantine in Maine effective immediately.

The Maine CDC Travel Guidelines state exemptions list:
NH, VT, CT, NY, NJ.
As of today, if you have traveled to these states, you DO NOT need a negative COVID test or 14-day quarantine.
Any other travel outside of ME and these states will require one of the two.

Last night the School Board approved the Calendar change and the Hybrid Model for the reopening of school. You can view the video by clicking the CETV icon at the bottom of the website page.

CESD Tech Department has purchased 10 Hotspots for use for families without internet access during remote learning. If you are in need of these services, call your Principal, or put in a Tech Helpdesk ticket.

From the Technology Dept: TML boosts WIFI that faces the car park- should allow users, students or citizens, to park their cars either directly in front of the library, or anywhere along the front - or half of the parking spaces closer to the doors, and access the guest WiFi.
