Common Sense

Thursday, February 1st, from 5:30-7:00, we will be hosting the first ever Digital Citizenship night for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-grade families.

A Digital Citizen is someone who acts like an upstanding citizen, only online. A Digital Citizen is someone who can do the "right thing" in online communities. This might involve standing up to cyber-bullying, thinking about other peoples feelings while being online, staying safe, or even just putting down the technology and getting outside. Being a Digital Citizen is necessary, and especially important in the 21st century

Our night will have 5 events for students to participate in that will help them further understand how to be a good Digital Citizen. Our night is based on Common Sense Media materials. Visithttp://www.commonsensemedia. org for more information.

Common Sense Media is a wonderful resource and I have created a quick tutorial video for anyone who would like to use this incredible tool. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
