CLYNK Update:  HELP WANTED! For the CLYNK fundraiser to continue, volunteers are needed to fill 2 open positions on the CLYNK team. This fundraiser helps classes K-6 raise tuition money for their 6th grade class trip to Chewonki.  This year's 6th grade class of 142 students raised almost $16,000 to reduce tuition by $110 per student! $6,115 of that total was raised through CLYNK bottle returns! Money raised in the 7th and 8th grades supports other exciting outdoor education programs.  Help is needed to maintain and track CLYNK accounts (using Excel Spreadsheets), write newsletter blurbs and school announcements and fold, label and distribute CLYNK bags to classrooms in the MS and to lobbies of both MS and PC.  For more details or to volunteer please contact Sarah Bischoff at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  The CLYNK fundraiser has brought in $6,285 so far this year and over $45,000 since 2009!

Hannaford Gift Cards

Hannaford Grocery Card Update:  The Hannaford Grocery Card program raises money in support of outdoor experiential learning throughout Middle School, including the amazing Chewonki week long overnight adventure.  This school year, participating families raised $7500 without spending a penny!  This is an amazing achievement worthy of hearty thanks to all our participating families in Pond Cove and the Middle School.  Bravo!  Look for information in September to become a part of this wildly successful, ongoing and painless fundraising effort.

Youth Football Clinic - Monday, June 20th

6:30 to 8:00pm at Hannaford Turf

Are you a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader? Thinking about playing tackle football in the fall?  Join the CE Youth Football coaches for a pre-season clinic! This is a great time for new players to see what a football practice is like. Returning players will have fun hanging out with their football teammates. No equipment needed - just wear shorts and sneakers. Along with skills and drills there will be:

  • Equipment Swap - Bring too small equipment to swap
  • Helmet Fittings - For those who were not fitted at registration night
  • Jersey # Selection - Players will pick their jersey numbers
  • Apparel Sale - Find some great CE Football Swag

If players attend the clinic and want to register for the 2016 season, they can register without paying late fees, a savings of $50! Any older players (rising 6th-12th graders) who want to register for football or need to be fitted for a helmet can stop by anytime to complete papework or be fitted during the clinic.

Notice from Cape Elizabeth Public Safety:

Starting with the new school year, September 2016, there will be no vehicular access or egress to the Middle School or Elementary School through Jordan Way.

We have noticed such a high volume of traffic on Jordan Way that Public Safety feels it is not safe for all involved.

As well, the parking has gotten so bad near the gate that emergency personnel have no spaces to park when responding to calls.  Public Safety is trying to deal with the illegal parking situation at this time.

In the Town Ordinance Chapter 13 "Traffic Regulations" it specifically states "Vehicles are prohibited from utilizing Jordan Way for access to and egress from the school complex...."  This section is now going to be enforced starting with the new school year.

Thank you for your assistance.
